Financial Aid for Graduate Students

Many of our students fund their graduate school education using federal financial aid. By completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you may be eligible to borrow up to $20,500 per school year.

This means you may be able to complete your degree program with little to no out-of-pocket expenses while you are in school. Once you graduate or stop attending school, you will have a 6-month grace period before repayment begins.

You can access the FAFSA application online. To begin, you will need to create a Federal Student Aid Identification (FSA ID) at the Federal Student Aid ID website. Note: USD’s FAFSA School Code is 010395.

Please note: USD’s Online graduate degrees offer 6 units per term so they are considered part time or 3/4 time programs.
